Having blown the roof off last year, HouseProud are once again proud to perform at BGMF Festival on Sunday 5th July 2009, and MoFest in August (shhhh...!)

On a local level, we also run a DJ Competition in Horsham, and we appear at various clubs and summer music festivals.

A little history: The HouseProud brand was born in the 90's when David & Brian ran a club in Fetcham pioneering early house. Marc joined the group after leaving Club funky and we are now spreading good quality house music with the amazing talents of resident DJ’s Jonathan Dobson, and Holly-Bee.

Team BIO:

The HouseProud team is a unique collective of highly experienced and talented DJ’s passionate about House Music, who put on successful and memorable club events at various venues and festivals across the UK. They also provide a fantastic mobile nightclub experience for corporate events, uni balls, and 16th, 18th and 21st birthday parties using amazing sound systems from the likes of Funktion-One and Pioneer and stunning lighting. HouseProud consists of a core team of 4 DJ’s; Brian Mole, Marky Mark, Holly-Bee and Jonathan Dobson.

Holly-Bee’s style is now a mixture of up to the minute funky breaks and beats with a very Housey feel, she is never afraid to drop an old classic tune. Filthy Dirty sets are often requested before an event, she never fails to please. Recently she became a DJ for the well-known Kidology brand, and The IT Girls, a world class all female dance act who are going from strength to strength. She has played at exciting venues across the globe including Twisted Republic (Bangkok), Green Mango (Koh Samui), La Grotta (Gozo), Dady 'O' (Cancun), and Oultra Lounge (Cancun). With her own unique clothes designs worn whenever she DJ’s, Holly-Bee is sure to bring life and colour to your night often themeing her designs to match your event.

Jonathan Dobson is one of the most talented DJ’s in the UK. With 15 years experience Jonathan has an un-wavering passion for playing quality electronic music. He started out playing the free party scene whilst at University, where he was well known for his Progressive House and Goa Trance sets, heavily inspired by the likes of Paul Oakenfold and Sasha. More recently, he has slowed down the pace and can be found playing more stripped back House, Techno and Electro sounds, something he is only too happy to indulge in at his own ‘Mind The Gap’ nights. As a resident DJ for ‘fast rising’ South East based HouseProud he can be found combining his trademark style with a mixture of classic tunes and his own special re-edits. After years playing Vinyl and then CDJ’s he has recently opened the next chapter in his career, utilising the dazzling potential of Ableton Live, this has allowed him to push the creative envelope further and breathe new life and excitement into his music. With his attention to detail, excellent ear for a wicked tune and energetic sets he is certain to rock any party.

Marky Marc is a highly experienced DJ who started as resident DJ at Club Funky, performed regular guest sets at Peach, Trade and Ministry and in various parts of the world including being support act for Jean-Michel Jarre at the millennium concert at the pyramids in Cairo Egypt. Various residencies followed including the Crazy House in Cairo, Limelight, regular sets in Germany, Hungary, Ibiza and Dubai following last years NYE performance with legend David Morales.

Brian Mole is one of the busiest and active DJs in the UK and has been DJ'ing to packed dancefloors since the early eighties. His musical tastes had their roots in the early eighties dance music, and have progressed through the evolution to House Music as we know it today, which gives Brian passion and enthusiasm for his art. His sets are dynamically driven by audience reaction, and he loves to take you on a trip though history from early seminal classic house tracks right up to the latest electro including latin, balearic, funky, tech and big room tunes, teasing you with the odd anthem for good measure.
